We choose natural cork for its renewable sourcing and lower environmental impact compared to petroleum-based foams. Cork is one of nature's most remarkable materials. Harvested from the bark of cork oak trees (Quercus suber), the process doesn't harm the tree at all. In fact, harvested cork trees absorb 3-5x more CO2 than unharvested trees.
